i prefer this version to the other because the subject doesn't look so flat. the concept is quite enjoyable, but i feel that his face needs to be a little more highlighted against the tape that crosses it. His head just looks a little detached.

i like that he's touching the structure, but at the same time my little instinct bugs say he shouldn't be. not to say he should be doing this or that, but if i were working on this personally i'd constantly look back at it and ask myself why.

oh and just out of interest! i wonder what this scene would look like if it was horizontal with the structure laying down and the paper spreading down from the wall onto the floor.

but! i think what you've done is good definately worth the fav.

i too prefer this version. the concept is pretty cool, bu the piece(s) feel more like works in progress. i am also unsure about his hand touching the structure. it almost feels like it breaks the idea of him being inside the box-like structure. that may be the point, but then it also feels like if that's the point you may want to take it further. i'm also not crazy about the way the tape/ribbon cuts across his face. maybe if his face was positioned a bit differently? (like maybe if it covered his mouth or eyes, that would be an interesting statement too?)

i like lady-maree's idea about the paper, but i think if you keep it vertical, maybe using black sheets or something on the floor - outside the structure area might make it cool? and then stronger lighting on the subject? i dunno, maybe more dramatic?

whatever you decide, i'm looking forward to see this project progress for sure. keep it up
