the reason behind the title is the song "paint it black" by the rolling stones.

It's about someone that keeps seeing summer, happiness and everything is colourful, but he hates it and wants everything to be painted black so it fits how he feels "I see a red door and I want it painted black." so since this is a happy flower that I drew in a darker way, it's my personal "red door"

if that makes sense :)
